Porter

MVP marketplace for local fashion brands

The Story

At the very beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic, it became clear that an incredible time was coming for e-commerce projects that could bring joy to people temporarily confined to their homes.

Porter's founder, a Ukrainian living in London, decided to seize the opportunity and fill a niche in the Ukrainian market, which at that time did not have direct delivery from leading European retailers and marketplaces.

We were faced with the difficult task of conducting in-depth interviews with potential vendors and customers, creating a Customer Journey Map and a prototype of the project: both the vendor part and the design of the store itself.

Despite the fact that the project never found Product Market Fit and potential for expansion for reasons beyond our control, we decided to share the results of our work.

The Challenge
Create both the vendor and client sides of a local marketplace that could compete with global players such as Farfetch, Moda Operandi, and Net-a-porter.

Admin panel for vendors
We created a prototype and design for the admin panel for marketplace vendors, using best e-commerce practices. User-friendly interface, clear wording, and inheritance of common patterns.

Storefront
The recognizable visual style on the home page is replaced by well-thought-out UX solutions on internal pages with advanced search and a complex filtering system. We developed a prototype of the front end that is as aesthetic and versatile as possible.
